No More Fear of Falling
Hi. My name is Fred, and I want to tell you about my experience with various available methods to treat Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) symptoms on my feet. I have reached the age of 80 years old, with gradual signs of my feet losing feeling and flexibility. l was experiencing the typical burning, numbness, pins and needles tingling sensations that are often described by others who were suffering similar feelings as l was. Cold feet and hands were blamed on poor circulation due to old age.

At my age, I was very aware of the need to exercise regularly, and to "keep moving” as an important way to continue to enjoy an active and useful life. I was involved with a local gym for regular sessions, and l proudly told how I rode my bicycle to and from the gym to help round out my routine. Life was good.
Then, along came COVID. The gym closed their doors, as did many other businesses. As I live in a gated community, I was fortunate to have a protected network of sidewalks to walk on, so I started to take regular walks, taking care to keep my distance from others. I discovered that I really enjoyed walking, and decided that I would adopt it as my way to keep moving for as long as the rest of my body would cooperate. My feet were a necessary part of the rest of my life.
I began researching how I could cure or reduce my PN symptoms to a point where I could be able to continue my primary exercise of walking comfortably. I was walking six days per week, between 4 and 6 miles per day. I needed to continue this level, as I felt good both physically and mentally. If only my feet didn’t hurt so much. Walking was my life!
The medical community offered no promising methods to treat PN, other than surgery or steroid based drugs. These alternatives proved to be painful, and quite expensive, with no promise of a cure. Then, I saw a newspaper ad that claimed a Peripheral Neuropathy Breakthrough! I called the number in the ad, and made an appointment with Crystal Stokes, Acupuncture Physician.
Crystal began our initial consultation session with a sensory exam to determine how much nerve damage had occurred. She explained how these tests allow her to determine if she would be able to design a program to help me. She announced that the tests showed my damage ranged between 70 and 76 percent, and that in her experience she felt confident she could help me. She explained that her practice did not rely solely on acupuncture procedures, but also included some modern medical solutions. She uses very low voltage resonance therapy that has been developed by NASA Engineers in conjunction with acupuncture to expedite recovery and healing of damaged nerves.

After further thought and discussions with friends and family, I decided to start a program with Crystal Stokes, Acupuncture Physician of Florida Senior Acupuncture in Stuart, Florida.
I have now completed the treatments that were tailored to my needs, and I am very happy. All my previous symptoms of burning, numbness tingling and sharp pains are gone. I no longer have cold feet and hands. The increased flexibility in my feet and toes is great! My sense of balance has returned. I no longer have the fear of falling like I did when my feet felt like bricks. Life is great!
I have resumed my walking sessions 6 days per week. This is why I went to see Crystal, and she fixed it. Thank you Crystal! You and your competent staff are a pleasure to work with. She taught me to think bigger than I had been, and to reduce any bias I may have had against acupuncture as treatment for physical ailments.
